Nilambur Grama Panchayat has got on distinctive mission against dowry that can bring about a social revolution in this Malappuram village in the coming days. Quoting media reoports the Panchayat set the ball rolling to become in a year the country’s first dowry-free village. Aryadan Shoukath, president of the panchayat  said that they  are planning to root out dowry, which has become a evil in the  society and rendered many a victim homeless.
