Achuthanathan endorses Governor’s nod

Thiruvananthapuram: at last chief minister of Kerala V S Achuthanandan has broken his long pending silence over the Lavlin case . He said that Governors have the right to take decision as per their discretion and the Supreme Court had approved the same in certain cases. So there is no point in presenting the Governor’s prosecution consent as a unusual incident. He was speaking to newspersons while update the cabinet decisions here on Wednesday. This comes different to what was stated by Vaikom Viswam and Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Tuesday.

On the accusation that the governor acted against the constitution, VS said that he has no comments. It is the responsibility of the governor to take a decision by detailed study and examination and he had informed his decision to the cabinet through credentials. VS said that he had handled the copy of the governor’s decision in a proper manner.

Azhikode gets death threat from Unknowm

Sukumar Azhikode on Sunday received a death threat through phone. The unknowm caller wanted Azhikode to apologise to Chief Minister V S Achuthanandhan within 24 hours for the comments he had made against VS. Azhikode had given the telephone number of the caller to the police for further investigation. The Police has stated investigation on this issue.

The war of words between chief minister V S Achuthanandan and Sukumar Azhikode has now attained a turning point.

Don’t be a Gorbachev: VS back to the Real Form Again

The toung war between CPI(M) politburo members V S Achuthanandan and Pinarayi Vijayan still continue.
On Saturday, Achuthanandan gave a apt reply to Pinarayi by indirectly comparing him with Mikhail Gorbachev, who solemnized the fall of Soviet Union.
During Nava Kerala Yatra, Pinarayi had said, “Outside the party, a leader is nothing.”
Describing the couplet, he said a child had taken a bucketful of frothing waves which lashed the beach expecting that the waves would be replicated in the bucket.

“However, when it didn’t, the child began to cry. Consoling the child, the water explained how it could become a powerful wave only when it was part of the sea. Likewise, I want to tell those resorting to hero worship that if one comrade feels he has grown taller than the others, his story is over,’’ Vijayan said to thunderous claps from the huge crowd at the Shankhumugham beach. It was clear that Vijayan was pointing to Achuthanandan taking the lone credit for his one-man show.
After waiting for two days, last Saturday VS attacked back by quoting “The storm named Gorbachev that emerged from the great sea, Soviet Union, finally destroyed the sea itself. Now, that same storm is hitting Kerala. The progressive forces in the state should guard against attempts to dry up our seas. Otherwise, the water in the bucket would have an altogether different story to tell,”
It was very clear that he was attacking back Pinarayi.
